We trace our roots to 1927, with the establishment of the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi, Ranchi, founded under the guidance of Swami Vishuddhananda Ji Maharaj.
During a severe drought in the 1960s, the need emerged to equip farmers and rural youth with resilient agricultural practices and livelihood skills.
In response, Divyayan was established in 1969 as a dedicated rural development initiative, focused on training, innovation and sustainable agriculture.
